US dollar falls as euro, yen climbs
NEW YORK, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trade on Friday, amid momentum in the euro and the Japanese yen.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, fell 0.32 percent to 103.5250.
In late New York trading, the euro rose to US$1.0699 from US$1.0676 in the previous session, and the British pound was unchanged at US$1.2068.
The US dollar bought 131.05 Japanese yen, down from 132.96 Japanese yen from the previous session. The dollar rose to 0.9249 Swiss francs from 0.9220 Swiss francs. The US dollar fell to C$1.3533 from C$1.3539, and it weakened to SEK 10.4338 from SEK 10.4446.
