Bucharest [Romania]December 31 (ANI): A court in Romania ordered a month-long detention of divisive social media personality Andrew Tate and his brother in connection with human trafficking and rape. Tate, his brother Tristan and two others had been detained for the first 24 hours, CNN reported, citing Romania's Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). The report said a court in Bucharest accepted an application by DIICOT to keep Tate in custody for another 30 days. Speaking to reporters outside court, Tate's lawyer Eugen Vidineac said the decision would be appealed. "From our perspective, there are no grounds for taking the most drastic preventive measures under the Criminal Procedure Code," he added, according to the Reuters news agency.
