Norwegian, Swedish prime ministers hold talks on green transition, EU issues
OSLO, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr and his Swedish counterpart Ulf Kristersson held talks on strengthening cooperation on the green transition and EU issues here on Tuesday.
The two sides explored avenues for enhanced industry and business cooperation, to act as a catalyst for green transformation.
"The Nordics will become a green industrial and energy region and we (Norway and Sweden) have common interests in cooperating more closely when it comes to, for example, batteries, hydrogen, critical raw materials and the forest and wood industry." said Store.
The dialogue was extended to current EU issues, and highlighted Norway's pursuit of a more structured partnership with the EU in health preparedness.
The two Nordic leaders also monitored Sweden's ongoing process to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), along with discussions on the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
